Quality Bit of Kit
A quality piece of equipment, relatively straightforward to assemble and in our case, hang on the garage wall. If you follow the assembly instruction pictures to the letter your reel will wind using your left hand. It is completely and easily possible to just swap over the handle and water inlet and have it wind right handed, as I did.

Useful gadget for the hose
The Hozelock 2in1 empty reel is very strong and looks as if it’ll wear well. However it says easy to assemble but we didn’t find that to be true a printed sheet of instructions put into the box would be helpful not everyone has access to the internet

Very good product
After 20 years of using my old hozelock hose reel I had to change it as it started leaking. So I thought I’d change it for another hozelock reel and was very pleased with it once I had assembled it. As suggested by some customers I did follow the video to put it together. I did have a problem with pressing the two halves of the drum together ( not a very strong 77 year old female ) so I used the flat side of a claw hammer to join the two halves and protected the drum with a towel. I did like the use of a spring to stop the hose from kinking which I didn’t have in the old one. I reused my old hose as there was nothing wrong with it. Now I’m happy to say I have a non-leaking hose reel.

Very good but needs better instructions
As everyone says the instructions on the box are poor. My addition to the feedback is it would be helpful if the wall fixings took account of brick size. On balance pleased though.

Self Assembly Issue
I have always been satisfied with Hozelock products, but I needed to replace the hose reel stand. It is a self-assembly unit that comprises mainly snap-fit plastic components and should not have presented any difficulty. However, an aluminium tube must be fixed with the supplied crosshead screws. Unfortunately, there is no ready-made provision to do this. It is necessary to drill holes at each end of the tube, then open them with a round file to achieve a satisfactory snug fit. It was very time-consuming.
