Excellent planter

"I originally bought two of these planters to go along a wall to make it more attractive and was so impressed that I bought two more. Have planted my bulbs just waiting for spring for them to pop up. Was quite easy to put together but did need a bit of pressure on the screw driver as need to screw into the wood but was not too hard to do."

DIY skills required

"These planters haven't been "quality checked" in China before exported to UK. I purchased two and one had to be returned as the lattice hadnt been correctly fitted to the frame (staples through the frame had missed the lattice, making it floppy). Other not perfect but kept and repaired.
The base isnt weighted for stability as described, the wood is light weight and thin. The pre-drilled holes in the planter base are wrong (cannot fix screw as previous screw in the way) so you will need to drill further holes as the wood splits easily.
The lattice is flat and catches the wind easily so best to secure it. Bricks fit either way in the base and still room for plant pots on top.
Painted them in black, secured and weighted them and now they look great."

"Whatever you think of my comments be aware the box is very large and was a struggle to get in a hatchback even with the seats down and no passengers.
The construction of the one I got was very flimsy, as a planter I expected a 'solid' bottom so I could put compost in it - the base had large gaps between the slats on the pre-built base, possibly ok for large plantpots, but not compost. The trellis was not properly secured in the groove in the frame making both very floppy, the wood used for the planter sides was very thin, and the patchy colour suggested it had not been very well treated with either stain or preservative. Decided not even to try and assemble it as I felt that I might break it - so just took it back."

"it says in the book weighted for safety so they dont get blown over yea right my shitzu weighs more it has been blown8 times and had to be repaired wouldnt have minded so much if it had been empty but it was full of dirt and flowers"
