Customers Say
Lightweight wooden fence good for decorative or temporary pet barriers but very flimsy, unstable in wind, and prone to breaking. Best used with additional support or for light-duty purposes.

Seemed like a good idea
This seemed like the perfection solution to stop our elderly dog getting up some steps in our garden. It seems to be o reasonable quality and was easy to put together, just requiring the feet to be added. it opens and closes pretty smoothly too. However, it is not very stable in strong winds and kept falling over, so we are going to have to look for a more permanent solution.

Fair price but quality not great
Only bought theses as they were on offer and to be honest, I would've been very disappointed if I'd paid full price as they are bit flimsy and not that stable! As a precaution, I treated them with wood preserve, and I'm not convinced they will last for many years!

Flimsy
Bought 8 of these a month or so ago and pretty much all needs taking down as broken by my dogs and the wind. Waste of £200 😔

Cheap and cheerful!
Bought it as an idea for makeshift gate but ended up stretching it out, without its legs attached, and both reinforced and made prettier a portion of similarly coloured trellis within garden area. Being made of cedar certainly keeps this fence light yet strong. It has a good length to cover a surprisingly large space, depending upon the height you're seeking and the wood is very resistant to wind and impacts.

Hello Mabel,
Wooden Expanding Fencing.
Yes, your wooden expanding fencing can be expanded and closed, making it suitable for use as a gate on a daily basis. The expansion and contraction of wood due to temperature and humidity changes is a natural process that can be managed to ensure the fencing remains stable and functional. Proper installation, including leaving gaps for expansion, and regular maintenance can help maintain the fencing's integrity and prevent it from becoming a barrier. If you have concerns about the fencing's performance, it is advisable to consult with the manufacturer or a professional for guidance.
Thank you.
