"I bought this Bosch PSR screwdriver mainly because the smaller Bosch IXO reached the end of it's life. It was a great little screwdriver but it lacked the power and the torque settings (there was no torque settings). I thought I'd pay the extra and get the PSR 7.2 volt. What a difference it made. I know it was twice the price but the extra power was noticed straight away and the torque settings are very handy when fixing screw in at the same level without splitting the wood. It feels better in the hand and the PSR also charges quicker so you can get on with the job without hanging around so long. I think this Bosch PSR 7.2 is a great screwdriver. The case is very handy too, keeps everything tidy-like!!"

"Positives of Screwdriver:
Needed a screwderiver to fix dry-wall and then put in 26m of electrical trunking and various sockets. Torque control meant that driving through dry-wall into wood was measured to perfection and then subsequent fixing of conduit with screws all done on lowest torque - perfect.
Speed control through trigger very sensitive and good control to start off steady and then power on. This has a fast top speed compared to the two previous models I have owned, Brian & David. Pistol grip style not an issue as working in open, unconfined space. Reverse function easy to operate one-handed and quick positive control to flick from one to the other - useful when controlling screw or other materials with other hand. Locking bezel requires two handed operation - useful feature when using as a manual screwdriver to 'tweak' final screw depth. Unit is lightweight and comfortable to hold, quite ergonomic in use.
Negatives of Screwdriver.
Bearing in mind limited use so far, although have also used to put together a 8x6 metal garden shed - worked admirably well. But, this does not seem to hold a charge for very long - I am hoping that it is because it is new and it will take a better charge in the future, but as it is a Lithium-ion battery supposedly this does not happen (battery memory, that is) - so can only say, looks good enough for DIY but would not be practical for the professional trades-person, although charge time seems quite fast. Lasted the jobs I was doing (about 2-ish hours in use) but on both occassions began to warn of low battery - without any noticeable drop in power output (unlike Brian & David). The light in the bottom of the handle seems a bit of a gimmick - I am not the biggest bloke but normal pistol grip tended to obscure this at times. When using the other free hand to position screw this would obstruct light and possibly worse - throw a shadow directly over where trying to work/see, making an unhelpful contrast! I think this is a needless gimmick - but made all the more frustrating as it cannot be turned off (lights up with the operation of the trigger - and yes a tab of black electrical tape is now in place) however given the battery life issue identified above, can only feel that if this wasn't operating might the thing last longer?
Accessories:
Comes supplied in a fairly sturdy plastic case, which has a plastic piano-hinge and two clip closure tabs - and a small locking point to pass a padlock through, if you need that sort of thing. The box is of a single skin construction (not blown) and is not solid, by this I mean it is vented, dust from working environment can get in.
Charger is a pretty standard unit and appears serviceable, fused plug is not solid single piece construction and therfore potentially replaceable. The screwdriver unit can be placed in the charger and apper to be in place, BUT requires a firm downward press to get the unit to 'click' into position to commence charging. Light on top of screwdriver denotes charging, no lights on charging unit. The charging unit has six hexagonal cut outs to accommodate various screwdriver heads, this does not hold them very well and is not suitable as a carrier. A small flexible rubber clip of 10 screwdriver heads come supplied with the set, these are quite standard fayre and don't 'fit' anywhere in the carry case - so are just left to rattle about - hey ho.
The unit is supplied with a thick little booklet which covers 12 European languages - but says remarkably little really - what more do you need to know: plug it in - charge it up - and use to drive screws. If that is what you're looking for this will do the job well.

"Good product for my use, but if you want to do an awful lot of DIY you would probably want to use a really Heavy Duty screwdriver, one that holds the charge a lot longer and you would therefore need a more expensive product."
