"Nice little pocket size camera. The only problem with this camera is actually with the manual, it's on DVD and not paper. I prefer to browse the manual when in bed or dare I say, on the loo.
The camera itself feels pretty sturdy. Wouldn't want to drop it, but you wouldn't would you?
Excellent product for the price."

"Just a word of advice before I post the review about megapixels. You will get good photos from anything 10mp upwards. This camera (and most compacts) will only take photos of highest mega pixels at maximum picture settings. Far bettter to set the camera onto a lower picture setting if you are not planning to blow your shots up into poster prints. Most compacts and this Canon will allow you to change the picture size.
This is an easy point and shoot camera in auto mode. It's not overly complicated unless you start to go deeper into the functions. The flash can over expose slightly on outdoor shots. I tend to turn it off if its a mixture of cloud and sun. The camera is sensitive and will keep changing to the conditions which is not a bad thing. I used the macro function in direct sunlight and took an amazing photo - even the high street photo shop was impressed at the quality from a small camera. Sunset shots are breathtaking - deep vivid colours on the Canon. Battery life is very reasonable but only if you use good batteries for compact electronic devices. I got well over 200 shots off this before the battery alarm started to flash. It was on offer (thanks Argos) and it does what it says on the tin. Obviously the features are not amazing but loads of different photo modes to play with.
This camera only zooms optically x 5. Which is ok if you don't want detailed shots of things far out to sea, etc. It can zoom more but its digital from there on in and there is a handy bar that pops up on the display screen that gives you a warning.
I will prob replace this in a couple of years time but for now it's ok and it was an upgrade from my 10mp camera which I still use from time to time."

"I already have a Powershot 560,also bought from Argos, which my daughter seems to have taken over. That takes fantastic pictures. I liked the idea of HD video, so I bought the Canon A810 and it works. The camera itself is a lot smaller than I expected, but that is the problem of buying over the internet. It is a lot more idiot-proof, so I find it easy to use. If you want to be able to take good pictures that will enlarge, or make a decent film, this will do the job, at a reasonable price, and with two AA batteries, rather than built-in rechargeables."
