all rounder Bought to replace a broken dslr but more for work, its so easy to use and get good results I wish I'd got something similar years ago only one bad point is the manual flash which needs to be lifted and the advance setting used otherwise in low light the images are grainy, excellent value zoom is very good video very good data transfer usb 2 is lightning fast on the whole a really good do it all camera 29 May 2013

Good pictures build not too good Value for money this is a good camera, however its a little bulky and the reflection on the screen is awful, to the extent that it is difficult to see what you are looking at. Having said that the resulting pictures are good. If looking again I would probably buy another model but this will surfice for now. 09 June 2013

not good enough good zoom and fair pictures in daylight, but this camera uses a ccd sensor as opposed to a cmos which equates to poor shots in dimly lit conditions, what compounds matters further is the flash takes an eternity to recharge so you will most likely miss the shot you wanted, couple this with very poor battery life, you would need to invest in some decent rechargable aa's, i would avoid,a better choice would be the ixus 500hs which is close to this price point 28 May 2013
