Great camera - great zoom

"Overall,very pleased witth the camera. Photos taken to date are very good.
It's only slightly larger than our last camera, which was a 5 x zoom, so Samsung have packed the 18 x zoom in very well.
The 24mm wide angle is also a very good feature, it is surprising how much more width of vision is obtained than is the case with an average lens.
Good battery charger - the combined USB/3pin cord is very useful for either a wall socket or P.C. USB port.
Only criticisms - sometimes the camera seems to take a little while to recover between shots and the dial wheel on top of the camera for selection of Auto, Video, Scene, Manual etc. can easily be accidentally moved to a different setting than the chosen one.
Two last general points - why, oh why, can't a full hard copy manual be included instead of a manual on a CD, and can we please have viewfinders back? The screen is practically useless in bright conditions"

"Brought this camera in sale so good value. was impressed by the 18x optical zoom, but this can be increased greatly in manual mode.
Have not tested all functions fully yet, but those i have used including Smart auto appear to give good images-whilst there are plenty of pions for the more advanced user.
