Disappointed

"In need of a more up to date phone/answer machine, I read the good reviews on this one, and since it was also on offer, decided to purchase it. Good make, good reputation, but when it was set up, although the handsets were okay, the answering machine sounded like a fax machine when it played a message. Very high pitched whistling noises that drowned out the message, and could no way be ignored. Having contacted the makers for advice (in case it was something I had done wrong in set up), they concluded it must be a faulty machine, and advised me to return it - which I did. Maybe I was unlucky enough to drop on a faulty item. I decided not to risk another one and have since paid a bit more and purchased a different make, which works fine. I know previous reviews have applauded the phone, so I am sure it must have been a faulty one that I ended up with - it happens. The two stars are for the handsets!! They were fine."

Cordless telephones

"Needed something to replace our old BT cordless phones. These seem to fit the bill admirably. Pros - colour screen, lightweight, easy to use keys, handsfree, etc. I've had them now for a few weeks and they work great. Would recommend."
