"Bought these phones as a replacement. Chose them for there slimline style. Easy to use and set up. Head piece is good whilst out in the garden or working out on the tredmill. So pleased we did."

"My 2nd phone now...the first one, the gold effect came off in my hands, so Argos exchanged...never had such a thing happen. Now, the 2nd one has developed a fault with the connection to base..one set only can't find the base and gives out of range message and sounds crackly due to this. So about to get my 3 rd one. In terms of reliability, not that impressed so far. Took the extended warranty, thank god, as if this is anything to go by, who knows what it will be like in 3 years!!!!
In summary, lovely to use, reliability is however questionable."

"I purchased this phone to replace our old phone and because I wanted a headset so that I could speak handsfree as I'd had a shoulder operation which meant holding the phone to my ear for any length of time caused me pain. The headset works fine and is perfectly clear for me and the person I'm talking to who wouldn't guess that I was using one unless I tell them. The only problem I had at first was working out how to make or receive a call on the headset as the manual is very poorly written. If you do buy this phone, this is what you need to do:
1. to receive a call on the headset is easy - simply press the button with a phone symbol on the headset when its in place on your ear or before.
2. to make a call with the headset is more complex. You need to dial the number from a normal handset and then transfer the call to the headset - see page 15 of the manual section 4.11.3
a. 1st place the headset in position on your ear - a bit tricky initially until you get the knack.
b. dial the number form a normal hanset.
c. as soon as all the numbers have dialled through press the Menu/OK key. INTERCOM will appear.
d. press Menu/OK again. HS followed by 3 numbers indicating the other 2 phones available and 9 to call all/both of them. So if your calling from Handset 1 you'll see:
b. dial the number form a normal hanset.
c. as soon as all the numbers have dialled through press the Menu/OK key. INTERCOM will appear.
d. press Menu/OK again. HS followed by 3 numbers indicating the other 2 phones available and 9 to call all/both of them. So if your calling from Handset 1 you'll see:
HS: 2 5 9
2 will transfer the call to HS 2, and 5 to the Headest. 9 to either.
e. press 5
f. you'll hear the call ringing through to your headset so press the big button on the headset with the phone symbol on it
g. you can now press Off on the hanset you originally dialled from or just retun it to its cradle
h. to finish the call just press the On/Off button on the headset

g. you can now press Off on the hanset you originally dialled from or just retun it to its cradle

Easy!!!
At first this all seems a bit confusing and the manual is very badly written so it took some time before I realised this is what you need to do - not sure if my wife will be able to get the hang of it though if I told her she could then make calls standing up and walking around doing stuff and losing calories she'll soon get motivated!
Fot the price I'm happy with this phone - though the user manual is a nightmare to follow. Now I've experienced the benefits of a headset will probably purchase a more expensive headest for both ears in the future as it's a really relaxing way to chat."
