Ill-advised purchase

"The triple Motorola cordless phone caused me no end of trouble. The 3rd handset of the initial purchase was faulty. Unbelievably the 3rd handset of the replacement set proved faulty.
I then walked up to the high street again to change the set for a better make a twin Philips which has behaved itself so far."
