Toshiba DVR20 Freeview DVD and VCR Recorder Combi. 4.4 5 102 111
Toshiba DRV20 DVD/VCR recorder I am very pleased with this product as we still prefer the use of VCR Tapes for ease of use. This machine satisfies all our requirements 23 September 2014
Toshiba Freeview DVD/VCR Combi Good make, easy to use and good all round quality. 16 September 2014
Another great Toshiba product. This unit is perfect for those of you out there that still have a VHS collection, It has a VCR and DVD recorder which is perfect, and built in freeview. The freeview is easy to use, and playing of VHS and DVD is also easy to use. The instructions for the recording side of things need a bit of time to understand, be patient!, took me 4 hours...but once read, this machine is fantastic! works perfectly, Great quality and design, good purchase, i would recommend. 16 September 2014
good purchase Bought to replace my combo that had an unrepairable VCR - that was five years old 16 September 2014
Toshiba DVD/VCR Recorder Excellent quality,I bought this recorder to transfer a lot of old video tapes on to discs. It can record on both disc and tape so its very versatile. However,I actually use it to transfer tapes from its VCR deck to another DVD recorder! It's a lot easier editing wise than doing it on the one machine, hence 4 stars for ease of use. This of course is only my opinion and preference.I would still recomend it if you want a versatile recorder. 11 September 2014

As the question above, all i want is the machine to transfer old vhs tapes to a disc. with the push of a button. I read in a comment on the issue and they said the manual to get started was heavy reading

Is this machine easy to use and is the quality you get on the disc good. I have lots of family videos that we took and do not want to loose them. Is it a case of putting the VHS tape in a disc in and pressing record are any other leads necessary. Thank you

Answer:
Hi Patti,
Yes it does what you are asking, transfer from VHS to DVD, and the quality is generally good.
The playing of DVD's and VHS is easy, as is freeview.
This machine is good quality and works well and is a good buy, however the only thing i would need to advise you is, the recording side of things are difficult to understand on first time use, the instruction manual is big! and needs alot of time.
But if you give it the time and be patient, it works great, but not quite plug and play.

Answer:
Easy to use, just follow the directions in the start up manual.
The quality will depend on the video used to do the transfer to a disc.
Hope this is helpfull
