What a super TV

"Having been less than impressed by a rival brand's product which had tinny sound we were a bit nervous about buying another thin TV. We needn't have worried: we were pleasantly surprised to find the sound quality is actually very good and the picture is very good too with lovely bright colours and a sharp image. Set-up was straightforward and it works with our VCR/DVD recorder combo much better than our old TV. I would have preferred a paper user manual but when you get the hang of using the built in user manual from the remote control its OK, if a little slow. We like the styling and the 26" screen size is perfect for our little cottage. Would I buy another one? Yes!"

"We needed a new tv to replace an old 22inch in the spare bedroom for a friend staying with us for a while so I perused the net and the Argos website since the store is quite nearby. We have a Panasonic 26inch in our bedroom and would have been quite happy to buy another one and not the Samsung but we needed it pretty quickly and only had a day to spare. Ordered on reserve from Argos and from turning off the computer to turning on the new tv was precisely 45mins and I have only Argos to thank for that. Their service was superb !
I am now comparing this tv to the Panasonic and I am afraid that it loses on all counts except the price. It was 50 or 60 pounds cheaper and it shows in it's quality. The picture quality is reasonably O.K. but not as crisp as the Panasonic and the sound is equally inferior. My biggest gripe however is the poor quality of it's stand. I really thought that I had not located the base to the tv properly because it didn't "click" into it's locating lugs as other units do but I hadn't done anything wrong so you have a tv that "wobbles" on it's base It has a tendency to rock to one side or another and you find yourself having to set it level if something disturbs it and it doesn't take much vibration from any source to cause it to move. For it's price it isn't too bad a set and it certainly is a good looker and picture and sound are acceptable but I cannot understand why so simple a thing as a more rigid stand wasn't designed. A minor piece of engineering spoils it.
I shall wait until the guarantee expires and then I shall secure it properly with Araldite so set and stand are joined in a strong and loving relationship.
I must give credit where it is due and have to say that connecting and tuning in was a piece of cake and took no time at all. Full marks for this aspect."

"Took it out the box, plugged it in, tuned it and away it went. Pity the manual has to be accessed via the set but this hasn't detracted from the overall experiance of the tv."

"After much research I decided to buy this tv, which was a present for my Son to have in his bedroom. He has been very pleased with it so far. He has connected his PS3 and XBox360 to this tv using HDMI cables and is pleased with the HD effect. This TV was very easy to set up, just plug in, switch on and the TV does the rest. My Son can get all the freeview channels and the sound quality is good. So much so, he spends most of his time in his room now!"
