"Initially I had concerns that the Samsung would not be a match for the IPAD but after a week of experimenting and trying different Android Apps I am very pleased. If anything it seems to have more functionality than I expected and thank god no link to Apple or Itunes and their restrictions, you don't even need a PC."

Best alternative to the iPad

"I do like the build quality of Apple's iPad but am not a fan of their software which made an Android based tablet the only alternative.

The Galaxy tab is a great multimedia device. I like the bright, high-res screen, variety of apps and widgets and the ease of navigation.

whats not so great about this though is the missing memory card slot and non-USB-based connector but if you plan to use this device mainly for streaming (think Spotify, BBC iPlayer etc) you won't be too affected."
