"We bought this radio as a gift for elderly mum who wanted something easy to use, mains operated and as a bonus and brought back memories from the 60's.
The front dial station selector makes it so easy to tune but we have added a few coloured stickers so that she can always find her favourites. Sound quality is good ; the size of the radio adds depth to the sound.
Mum loves it and we are considering getting one for ourselves, to replace our Roberts DAB that has been a disappointment both in terms of sound quality and the fact that most channels are 'unavailable'. The DAB cost nearly twice as much too!
So yes I would wholeheartedly recommend the Bush portable and very pleased that it is still available. Good price at Argos too. Thanks Argos!"

"I t was easy to reserve the radio on the internet. I had never been in an Argos store before and it was such a pleasant experience. I had notification through that the Radio was in the Taunton Argos. I took my reservation number, walked in, straight to the Customer service desk... was seen to by a very pleasant lady and in no time my radio was there on the counter waiting for me. It was just great and to get home and see my purchase.... well very special indeen. thank you"

"We had one of these radios back in the 70's, had to purchase it because it brought back so many fond memories. Excellent radio and so good to tune again with the "big dial". Am going to purchase a second one for my Mum's 70th birthday!"

The DAB has gone!!!!!

"Having been very disillusioned with a quite expensive DAB radio for the last three years this does the trick.
A good old fashioned straightforward piece of kit. Plain simple controls and very easy to tune in. Tuning dial far more reliable than DAB pre-sets. Finds plenty of FM channels with aerial only up one notch (Dab had to be right up to get just a few!!)
No criticisms.
It ticks all the boxes for me. The only thing I can't yet report on is battery life - will be getting plenty of assessment on that score when camping in the summer!"

"My husband has had one of these radios for a couple of years and when my muns radio broke he suggested we get the same for her. Its easy to use has great reception and the tone is really good. The stations are easy to tune into and my mum loves it being the technophob she is!"
