"Looked, from the spec, a good machine. However, worked for about half an hour then despite the efforts of 3 generations of seamstresses expertise with sewing machines, flatly refused to sew any more. Exchanged for Argos Value model (oddly, more expensive) which is working well."

"for a cheap machine this is fine and works ok for sewing simple things. i noticed a few peoples reviews commented about the plastic bobbins not working but if you read the booklet it tells you to only use metal ones as they are magnetised."

"I needed to make a small curtain for the bathroom and didn't want a huge machine. This is big enough to handle small jobs. Being new to sewing machines it was a bit tricky at first and had to re-thread it a few times. But it did the job and is good for beginners."

Mine Was Faulty

"Bought this product about a week ago and was fairly happy with it even though the thread kept breaking and the bobbin never threaded properly (had to stick tweezers in and manually thread, not use the crank). Came to use it two days ago and the machine kept dropping stitches and not making any of the stitch patterns except straight stitch. After rethreading countless times with the same result I gave up. Contacted the company's Customer Services for the machine, or tried to because the number supplied doesn't reach anyone and just says "busy." So googled the company and they don't even have a WEBSITE? Decided it was best to exchange it so that I didn't have any more problems or ever have a situation where I couldn't order parts for it.
After purchasing the Argos Value model, I have learned this is a gimmicky sewing machine and a teeny tiny pedal and designed for children (with a lot of patience!!)"
