BaByliss Curl Secret Hair Curler. 4.4 5 348 358
Bought for my wife and she is very happy from this. Will recommend 12 May 2015
brilliant Having long straight hair and being awful at doing anythig with it (ive tried all sorts of ways to add curls and waves with no luck) i thought id give this product a go. Well.. wow! Its pretty simple! Beeps to let you know if youve put it in wrong and cuts out so its really helpful to ensure toure doing it right each time. So far perfect waves and curls with every use! A little on the expensive side but cant fault the fact it does the job. 12 May 2015
curls that last This product takes a little bit of patience, at first I was using sections of hair that were too large so they were becoming tangled in the barrel. You need to use quite small sections and so still takes time to curl your whole head, especially as I have very thick hair. The only down side is that you cannot choose how big the curl is, this definatly just curls your hair, if you are looking for big waves this does not do that. But, the curls do last, even without hairspray. 06 May 2015
Excellent purchase I purchased this with my daughter for her 11th birthday and she loves it. Very easy to use and curls really well. 05 May 2015
These are a godsend After trying unsuccessfully for years to curl my own hair I've finally found something I can use. Really easy to manage my own hair, the curls stay in all day and I can adjust the style with the different settings. Highly recommended. 05 May 2015

Answer:
Hello there,
After sending this query off to BaByliss I have recieved this information back:
'It is not likely some one can burn them selves but the barrel will get extremely hot at the end so all contact with skin must be avoided.'

I hope that this has been useful, thank you for using Argos Q&A

Answer:
As this is the retail version, a plastic guard slides over during operation and so it is actually safer than the Pro salon version. That's not to say you should not use caution of course.

Answer:
Hello,

The hair is drawn into the BaByliss Curl Secret Hair Curler's chamber by a mechanism. If the lock of hair is too thick or has been place incorrectly, the appliance will beep to indicate that you should remove it and start again. This has to be done manually, but does not result in the hair being tangled if done gently. I recommend looking at other customers' reviews for their experiences.

I hope this is helpful.

Answer:
Hello,

You needn't straighten your hair first - as long as your hair is dry and not wet, it'll be fine to use with the BaByliss Curl Secret Hair Curler.

I hope this is helpful.

Answer:
Hello,

I have a feeling you might mean steam, not smoke. Steam is perfectly normal when using straightening/curling appliances on hair, whether or not you have applied products like heat protection spray.

If you genuinely mean smoke, then no, this isn't normal for any electrical appliance.

I hope this is helpful.

Answer:
Hello,

The BaByliss Curl Secret Hair Curler runs on a voltage of 220-240V. Australia runs on a voltage of 230V, so the curler will indeed work with an adapter.

I hope this is helpful.

Answer:
Hi,

I have checked with Babyliss regarding the length of hair used with the BaByliss Curl Secret Hair Curler and this is their response:

?It is difficult to provide a precise measurement for the length of hair that the Curl Secret can be used on due to mitigating factors such as hair thickness.

As a guide we recommend that the Curl Secret is not used on hair that is longer than the bust, however it can be used further down the hair to curl the lower lengths. Hair sections should be no bigger than 3cm in width taking in to consideration the hair thickness, users with thicker hair will need to take smaller sections.

A neat section of hair must be inserted in to the opening beyond the hair stopper, if too much hair is inserted the Curl Secret will not draw the hair in to the barrel and will beep indicating to take a smaller section. In the event too much hair is taken into the curling chamber, the device will beep to alert the user that they should turn the unit off and gently tease the hair from the chamber before switching on again and continuing the curling function.?

I hope this helps.

Thank you for using Question and Answer.

Answer:
Hello,

The BaByliss Curl Secret Hair Curler is suitable for fine hair, and hair no longer than the bust. Whether or not the curls stay in depends on your hair type and what products you use.

I hope this is helpful.
