BaByliss Curl Secret Hair Curler. 4.4 5 319 329
Girlfriend really like these and found them easy to use. 24 February 2015
Very pleased with this product works really well First hair curling item which actually works and which can be used without needing any help from anyone else 24 February 2015
This product does what is says it does I was bought this as a birthday present, I suggested buying it after seeing a YouTube video. In the back of my mind I was thinking I probably won't get the results as seen on the video but after trying it out I am amazed. My hair is quite thick, not easy to manage but was so easy using this. I've only tried it once so far but I am really impressed with it. I'm not a big fan of curling tongs after burning myself a few times so this is perfect. Worth the money 24 February 2015
Awfull Bought this for my daughter she was very disappointed, it just doesn't do what it says, the Video makes it look really good. its take ages and doesn't curl very well. Argos were really good and refunded without Question. 24 February 2015
brillant product If like me you just haven't got the time to curl your hair and you struggle...This is an ideal product. Hair curled and styled within 20 mins. I have long thick hair. 24 February 2015

Hello,

Having spoken to the manufacturer, they advise that if the BaByliss Curl Secret Hair Curler is to be used on children then full adult supervision is recommended.

I hope this is helpful.

This is an electrical product, very expensive and you cannot guarantee that it will work so can someone please tell me why there is no guarantee I will get my money back if it doesn't work. Not all of your reviews are positive so it is very off-putting that I may be stuck with something that is useless. Thanks to all those who have slated the product and warning me I could be wasting money because of this. I may otherwise consider buying a very decent product but I'm sorry this has put me off.

Hello,
I can advise that the 30 day money back guarantee is for items that can be returned if not needed. However items such as this are not covered due to hygiene reasons. You are still covered by a 1 year manufacturer guarantee, so if the item did not work, you would still be entitled to a refund or exchange.
Thanks for using Q&A

Answer:
I have curled my hair from the root and it hasn't stuck or got caught. I have quite long hair, down to around my elbows. I just put in smaller sections of hair. Even though its right next to your head, it wont burn as the heated parts are inside the barrel. Just to reiterate - I have had no issues curling hair from the root.

Answer:
Not really as the curler takes the hair in from middle to the end, any further up your hair, it gets stuck. Don't put too much hair in the curler at once as a few times I've had to cut the hair to get it out!

Hello there,
After being in contact with the manufacturers I have had this response:
"We can confirm that the Babyliss Curl Secret will not work in America as the voltage is 110- 120 volts and the curl secret can only be used on 230- 240 volts. The appliance can be used in the UK and most of Europe."
I hope this helps,

Answer:
Hi,

I have checked with Babyliss regarding the length of hair used with the BaByliss Curl Secret Hair Curler and this is their response:

?It is difficult to provide a precise measurement for the length of hair that the Curl Secret can be used on due to mitigating factors such as hair thickness.

As a guide we recommend that the Curl Secret is not used on hair that is longer than the bust, however it can be used further down the hair to curl the lower lengths. Hair sections should be no bigger than 3cm in width taking in to consideration the hair thickness, users with thicker hair will need to take smaller sections.

A neat section of hair must be inserted in to the opening beyond the hair stopper, if too much hair is inserted the Curl Secret will not draw the hair in to the barrel and will beep indicating to take a smaller section. In the event too much hair is taken into the curling chamber, the device will beep to alert the user that they should turn the unit off and gently tease the hair from the chamber before switching on again and continuing the curling function.?

I hope this helps.

Thank you for using Question and Answer.

Just spotted this Sarah - my daughter is in same position so I borrowed one to try. Not suitable for bum length hair - which my daughter has BUT we used it to curl her hair after putting majority of it into pony tail and it did the lot (and there's a lot of it) in about half an hour! I'm buying one for her for Christmas.

Hi,

I've heard that this curling product doesn't have a timer on it, and so I was just wondering how would you know if the curl has formed properly without a timer?

Hello there,
After sending this query off to BaByliss I have recieved this information back:
'It is not likely some one can burn them selves but the barrel will get extremely hot at the end so all contact with skin must be avoided.'

I hope that this has been useful, thank you for using Argos Q&A

As this is the retail version, a plastic guard slides over during operation and so it is actually safer than the Pro salon version. That's not to say you should not use caution of course.

Answer:
Hello,

The hair is drawn into the BaByliss Curl Secret Hair Curler's chamber by a mechanism. If the lock of hair is too thick or has been place incorrectly, the appliance will beep to indicate that you should remove it and start again. This has to be done manually, but does not result in the hair being tangled if done gently. I recommend looking at other customers' reviews for their experiences.

I hope this is helpful.
