"I've used GHD's for 8 years now and on purchasing a new pair of GHD's I wasn't happy with them. So I swapped them for the Nicky Clarke DesiRED The Next Generation Hair Straightener. They are amazing much better than the GHD's that i was using. they are great value for money and i would recommend for anyone."

they drag the hair shaft

"They look nice in the box .Colourwise they they are ox blood dark red quite shiny paint.They are called the next generation which is a fancy marketing term which simply means only they removed the jogdial and put digital LEDs on the handle instead and a clicking lock at end! They heat up very quickly to 230 degrees. They auto shut off after 1 hrs use. They have a nice long flex. The down sides , they don't close properly along hair shaft and you feel your hair being snagged as it stops midway and hair gets caught in the plates!! They are supposed to be ion-ic this part is false advertising " Ionic conditioning locks in moisture to keep hair healthy and frizz-free" but there are no holes administering a stream of negative ions on the actual plates , which is truly what is what ionic straightening implies and means.(removes static electricity, thus allowing smoother flatter hair shaft.)Somehow they have tried to relaunch these and they would be brilliant and 5 out of 5 stars but for the fact they snagged my barnet and the original series did NOT snag so what is going on here? However, I grabbed these at half the rrp in your sale and of course, once used, they cannot be returned unless at fault, no means exists to 'try before you buy', I wish there were 'testers' in the actual shop of items that you could have a bash at trying and looking at working because committing to buy and finding your hair snagged to bits at home and knowing you are stuck with these is quite disappointing .Saying that, if I go slow as a snail and take my time , I will persevere with them , they are a good brand and they do work as it says on the tin once you use them the hair is defo straight and they are good to look a (but then again, so is a peacock but he is just a peahen with a jaiket on, showing off, so go for practical use and not by how it looks!)"
