"I've owned a Braun 7 series shaver for the last 15 years and always considered it to be the best shaver I had ever had. However, the old one was starting to misbehave so I decided to change it. The price of the new one seemed a bit high but at the age of 65 I thought I was worth it. Wow! what a treat it is. It's even better than the old series 7 which I considered to be the best shaver ever. The changes between sensitive through to intensive seems to work well and the indicator light changes to let you know which mode it's in.
Drawbacks, as previous reviews have mentioned the cleaning cycle is a bit noise but nothing too serious and the carrying case does not have room for the charging cord when travelling but these are mere details and do not detract from the main purpose of the 790: the best shave ever. I'm very pleased with the purchase."

"After wet shaving for over 30 years I did not think an electric shaver could compete, however after using the Braun 790 my view has changed completely. This shaver leaves my face smoother than any wet shave has ever done, just give the Braun (and face) about 7 to ten days to settle in and then you are away.
The Shaver is comfortable to use and feels good in the hand with all controls easy to use. I am not happy with the flip out side trimmer as it is not much use in practise but as the shaver has a locking function for the head the side trimmer is not really needed. The cleaning station works well but the fluids are too expensive. If it was not for the costly fluids the shaver would get top marks."

"I have used many shavers from Philips and Braun, generally mid or top range, none come anywhere near the 790 for ease of use, speed or a fabulous shave. Super smooth with blades that get under your skin ( hope Braun buy that line from me (: .....)..... Must be powered by magic, that is the only engineering explanation I have...."

"I have had Braun razers for quite some time now and this one certainly has the edge on most of them. Only problem I have found is that it is rather noisy when the cleaning process is in operation."

"I've struggled in the past to find an electric shaver to give a smooth comfortable shave and one that would suit the contours of my face, the Braun 790 does the job brilliantly. The Braun 790 shaver is easy to use, comfortable to hold, simple to clean and the overall quality is excellent."
