Customer reviews and ratings

Scholl Muscle Therapy Shiatsu Massager. 4.5 5 70 76
Does what it says I bought this product and use it on an almost daily basis. I find it does the job well. The detachable handle is great as it means I can get to the hard to reach back/shoulder areas but can also detach it and use it comfortably to massage feet, legs arms and body. I even use it on a low setting on my face and neck. 02 September 2014
Massage therapy Bought this after reading other reviews. Can confirm it is a bit on the heavy side and I find it awkward as I have a damaged nerve in my right hand. Find the the infra red function is not warm enough. I use a foot massage machine which has this function and it is considerably warmer and better. You need to be careful to not press too hard on the muscle you are massaging especially a torn one. It can aggregate it even more.( first hand experience there) 02 September 2014
Excellent for breaking up knots.... Recently purchased this instead of a tried and tested OSIM iPamper machine (couldn't get one!) - so i opted for the readily available Scholl Muscle Therapy masager. First impressions are good, very sturdy, well built. We have only used it a couple of times and this machine is very good in breaking up knot but the unit really pounds your hands with the kickback vibration. Cant use it for long periods due to this, otherwise happy. 27 August 2014
Not shiatsu but still good This massager is definitely not shiatsu. It is a percussion massager which basically means it vibrates. I was disappointed because I wanted the rotating/kneading action of a shiatsu massage because it would get deeper into my knotted muscles. However, this unit did ease the pain and was easy to use. 26 August 2014
Great product I play rugby and this helped with my neck and shoulders after a hard games scrummaging 12 August 2014

Answer:
I would consider this unit to be too harsh for arthritis patients in my opinion. This is more on the level of sports massage (very brisk!).

Answer:
You may find it a bit fierce on your feet although the gentlest/slowest setting may be OK. The reflexology attachment was just an attachment with small bumps on it - not like any reflexology I've ever had but I'm no expert on that. I have a Homedics foot massager which is great for feet.

Answer:
Hi Bobb,

Thank you for your question.

I can confirm that the massager comes with 3 interchangeable massage nodes ? 1 for deep tissue massage, 1 for a gentle massage and 1 to deliver heat to the targeted area. I would advise consulting your doctor before making a decision on whether or not this will be suitable.

Thanks for using Q&A.

Hi, Mackmummy.

The manufacturer doesn't recommend the Scholl Muscle Therapy Shiatsu Massager for use during labour. Please talk to your doctor for further advise regarding pain relief during child birth.
