"These slim curling tongs are excellent value for money, and they gave excellent results, my daughters new hair style was amazing. Everyone commented on how beautiful her hair was . They heat up quickly, there easy to store away, although a heat protection mat or pouch would of been beneficial to accompany the product. Otherwise fantastic value for money"

"Have curled my own and my daughter's hair. Works well on mine (short and natural wave) and hers (long and straight). We both have fine hair.
Lasted all day on mine and most of the day on hers, but once slept one it was all gone.
Works much better on hair that's just been washed and dried."

"I bought this product to give my hair a bit of volume. I love this product its very easy to use and you can set it to different temperature to suit your hair type. I use the product to curly my little cousin hair and the curlys come out great and stay in with just a small amount of hair spray."

Good for the price, some problems

"Firstly, I bought these to help tame my naturally curly hair and to produce hair styles for nights out.
The actual look of the product is very good, they look sleek and the cord is of a good length to move around.
While there is a problem with the heat setting dial easily moving, I have found that this does not make a difference and I just remember to check it after each curl.
This is the first set of curling tongs I have used and so did not think to check the size of the actual barrel. As it is, it is very narrow, producing very tight curls. While they are good in themselves, they are not particularly natural looking. Similarly, the manual suggests larger sections of hair for a "wave" affect, but this has not worked for me.
Also, there does not seem to be a correct position to get the curls to lay straight down; instead sometimes they will poke out to the side, or even manage to defy gravity and twist upwards. I have tried using the barrel facing up, down, starting from the roots, and the ends and have yet to come up with the magic way to hold them. Instead, it is hit and miss, sometimes they go beautifully, sometimes they are rubbish and I have to straighten them out.
Added to this, your hair must be freshly washed for the curls to work properly; due to time constraints I usually wash my hair the night before and the curlers were supposed to "touch up" my curls in the morning. As it is, this system does not work and the curl are usually turned into a weird kink, wave, kink pattern which is not especially appealing!
Saying this, however, when I wash it straight before use, the curls are glossy and stay in for a very long time, lasting well into 9 hours without any hair spray or products!
So while it does have its faults, the price is a major positive; while they aren't the best curlers ever, they can be managed and once you learn the tricks, you can produce some nice looking curls. At this price, you can't go wrong!"
