"Excellent lighting for our lounge - bought two of them. Combined reading light and uplighter both with dimmers gives plenty of flexibility to change lighting conditions, whether watching a film, listening to music, reading or doing paperwork.
4 stars as pre-fitted 33w bulb failed within 5 minutes. Note, Argos recommended spares are 40w - hope they are right!"

"The light given off by the father lamp is tremendous. Haven't used the son lamp very much but this is an adequate level of light for reading. Adjustable arm is very practical. Took 15 minutes to put together and I'm no expert! There is a slight humming noise when lights on very low but you would have to be right up to it to notice it. Well worth the money. Hope the bulbs last a long time as not as simple as changing an ordinary light bulb, but I'm sure I'll cope!"

"I bought this floor light to replace one I had bought from a major retail outlet some ten years ago. whilst it looked almost identical when it was put together it was wonky and no matter how much i tried, could not get it straight. Decided that given the price to put up with it until the reading light casing shattered within minutes of the reading light being on. Returned it to shop for full refund. on the face of it a good floor lamp; perhaps I just got a sub-standard one :("

"Awkward to put together and there was a nut missing. Fortunately I had one in my toolbox. Once assembled however, very pleased with the result a stylish and useful light."
