Reasonable value, practical lamp

"This lamp has done the job so far. I'm not having any of the problems other people have complained about where they say the lamp does not stay fixed in position. My purchase works perfectly, stays in any position I place it in, and it looks ok too.
It's not the most amazing quality build for the money, and I have seen slightly better elsewhere for the same price since its purchase. However, I'm still a satisfied customer and this lamp is ok for studies/reading/laptop etc.
Pro: Heavy base, doesn't fall over, easy to position. Stays in place, easy reach on/off switch.
Con: Shade is a bit short for energy saving bulbs which might leave you dazzled, but I hate those sort of bulbs in lamps anyway."

"my son chose this for his new bedroom as it reminded him of Toy Story. personally the light was flimsy and wobbled on the base, even when the thumb screws were tightened. we did keep the light as my husband did a bit of diy on the base to strengthen it, and the fact that my son liked it. given the choice i would have returned the product"
