Good purchase for the money

"As others have stated here this is a fairly good quality lamp that is well made for the money, albeit a little fiddly to assemble.
The instructions could be a bit more precise but it's easy enough to figure out.
The lamp itself is sturdily made from powdered aluminium and the glass panels are of decent quality, just watch you don't chip them whilst assembling.
I was a bit doubtful on the retaining method for the glass panels at first (held in place by bevelled rubber grommets on metal pegs) but once the metal retaining clips are screwed in at the top they firm up and appear to be secure. Time will tell if the unit is water - tight but it's been raining heavily for the past two hours and upon checking it appears ok.
I bought this lamp as I was getting fed up fairly regularly changing the more common PIR and dusk till dawn type lamps that only seem to last a year or two and then go wrong!
As you just switch this one on and off as required from the wall switch it should be more reliable.
Using an 11 watt energy saving bulb (60 watt equiv) in the lamp and it is more than adequate to light up my fifty foot long drive. Recommended."
