"The review title says it all which is ironic for a product that has been named "Quiet" to start with.
If Honeywell thinks this is quite what would they call a Harely Davidson bike. Its not a like to like comparision, but this airpirufier is far from quite! Period.
It does clean the air, but if you are a light sleeper, this one is not for you. The controls has 3 speed settings (high,med,low).
High: Very very very loud, when I run it on high, it is very hard to even have a TV on in the background; I had to connect my TV to external speakers to hear anything.
Med: Very very loud, this will make the TV audible but only if you have your tv is still connected to exxternal speakers.
Low: OK, this solves the probelm, I could hear the TV, but it is still LOUD!
Could not sleep with this running on Low.

"This is a very noisy product. In terms of getting rid of bad smell, it does work.
However, I can hardly hear TV when it is on. Therefore, I would not recommend it as a household product"

"I live on a very busy London road and in this April's heat wave and lack of rain it's got more and more dusty outside. I noticed that opening my window meant I would not only get bad hayfever but also have to dust my room the next day. This purifier is very powerful and since buying it I have to dust half as often ad my coughing etc has all stopped! .. Only negative is that it's not as quiet as some might want. I can sleep with it on low no problem, but if you're a very light sleeper this might not be for you."
