"this is the second dehumidifier i have had, the first one lasted 13 years I thought they would have improved in that time but this one makes more noise and takes a few minutes to start as stated in instructions, my old one started as soon as the on button was pressed. other than that its no better or no worse than my old one."

"we bought a challenger dehumidifier 15 months ago, still working efficiently. We bought another challenger dehumidifer November 2011, took it back as it was making a screeching sound, replaced by the same model. February 2012 returned the replaced challenger dehumidifier as it was screeching, replaced with the next challenger model. All ok."
