Only buy it if you really reall want one.
As good looking as it might be, it's performance does not reflect the price. I don't normally right reviews, but on this occasion, if I can save one person a great deal of money and steer them away from this, then it would be review worth writing.
It's very easy to put together and very easy to operate, however, it is quite noisy and the cool air it blows isn't really a match compared to what you would get from a 'normal ' fan. When it's on full speed, it shifts a good bit of air, but the noise isn't very pleasant and isn't easy to ignore.
I think the concept is great, but I wish I had purchased a good old fashion one, much more cooling for your pound. Hope you find this helpful. Also......if you do want to buy it, look for deals on line, I recently found the 12 inch version for £30 less!!!

Good Product but expensive
Glad I bought this during our brief hot spell. It looks stylish in the Living Room but it is expensive.

one of my best bys
This is an xcellent fan, very modern but fits in with almost any deco. Very quiet to run even at night.Very good value and very easy to asemble. Dyson has got this right excellent product.

Best ever Fan purchase
It's a cooling fan - nothing to get excited about. But this is a high Tec Fan - that's appealing in itself. I like the quietness of the device, the non moving parts, the ease of control and it's compact size. All in all, it's the best fan that I have ever bought and although expensive, there is a 2 year guarantee. I have no regrets in buying this fan. Roll on Summertime, so that I can test it more fully.

Pricey but very effective and attractive
This is an attractive, easy to assemble and quiet fan. Although it is quite expensive, I am sure that the price will come down eventually. Research and general technology costs are inevitable when a new product first comes onto the market.
I bought this fan when my husband was critically ill in hospital as there was a shortage of "dust-free" fans on his hospital unit. The Dyson blade-free fan was the only one recommended at this hospital as it is clean and hygenic (no accumulation of dust as there are not blades to attract dust) and is easy to keep clean.
Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase and would highly recommend it to prospective purchasers.
