Beautiful looking I didn't actually read the reviews here before I purchased this item so was a bit confused when I was still getting a metallic taste. I think it's here to stay then! However, even though the metallic taste comes and goes I really love this kettle. I bought it with the toaster and coffee machine and together the look really nice and spruce up my kitchen. Personally, I didn't find the metallic taste to be too bad, but then again it's an expensive kettle so it shouldn't have this flaw. I didn't have any problems with noise either, it's as noisy as any other kettle. Completely drip free and easy to fill excuse of the shape so it fits in the sink nicely. . . Random but I found it useful :) 16 April 2013

Bad taste in the mouth!! Had kettle for 2 weeks now. No problem with noise or speed but the kettle gives the water a nasty metallic taste. Must be approaching 50 boils now and no sign of it disappearing. See from other reviews that I am not alone. 10 April 2013
