"We thought this would be a great deep fat fryer, but it has some short-comings, namely: It takes 3L of oil which costs a lot of energy to heat up; it has a tiny basket which does not fully submurge into the oil, so you are heating well over 2.5L of oil that the baske does not touch; the power lead is so short it would require to be right next to the power outlet, or an extension lead required. Sorry, but on this occasion we would not recommend to purchase this product."

"smaller than i thought......handle not strong as it keeps bending when you shake oil....food sticks to the basket......not worth the money...."

"Had a Russell Hobbs Deep Fat Fryer for years the Harry Ramsden model, it eventually went wrong, we decided to buy R H again, only reason our old Fryer was brilliant, this one is not half as good, main reason the Basket with the oil on the full level does not come all the way out of the oil burning the bottom of whatever had been cooking when leaving it to drain, did not realise until the second time we used it. the timer is not required just something else to go wrong, the steam created comes out around the handle making that hot, most steam does vent through the filter, overall it does not appear to be as well built as our old model, will not purchase another of these."

"Nice looking Fryer but very disappointed that The Flex is not very long , also it comes from the Front making it awkward to Plug in!"
