Problems emptying oil.

"The Cookworks Deep fat fryer has proved in operation to work well with good results from all we have attempted with it. BUT a big annoying problem has arisen when trying to empty oil from the unit, according to the instructions booklet the pot that holds the oil should with the use of two handles lift out?
What handles? And the pot does not appear to come out anyway. This is a puzzle and a problem and makes emptying oil very messy. Any suggestions please."

"Main problem is, inside cannot be removed for cleaning even though it was stated in the instructions.
I cannot get the lid off, otherwise it performs as it should, a fair product for the money.
