"I bought this mainly for melting cheese on panini, and only secondly to have a go at grilling and so far it seems ok.
I will say though that it seems very compact to call it a family grill, I really do not see two portions of fish or meat cooking easily (plate is full with two slices of toast next to each other), so might be a disappointment if bought for this (main!) purpose."

"Bought for my Mum who like cooking with the smaller one. This allows her to do a whole meal for herself and has a height adjustment for bigger steaks and chops etc. Remember this one has an on off switch"

"The grill looks much bigger in the pictures and being called family grill expected to be able to cook for a family. The floating hinge is useful, you can cook things of all different widths and cheese on toast was a a doddle. Wish I'd bought the one with removable plates though."

"Delighted with this product. Had a small George foreman grill for years and decided to up-grade to a bigger model. The melt facility is brilliant and i can have melted cheese on toast quicker and easier than using a conventional grill. For those of us that are health conscious this is a great tool to reduce the amount of fat in our diet. It would be helpful to know the dimensions of the grilling surface before purchase, in order to make an informed choice between models."
