good kettle

"I bought this to replace a month old (different make) kettle that started leaking after just one month. I like this kettle as it sits in the base rather than just on it. I also like the weight of it (not too light or too heavy) makes it feel sturdy. I have read other peoples reviews where they weren't happy about the water level being at the back (under the handle) but I haven't found this to be a problem. You can boil just one cup and if you haven't put enough water in it will switch off for safety. I really like the look of it, just remember that it is stainless steel so only pick it up by the handle or you will burn yourself (I haven't yet!). I would recommend to anyone who wants a stylish kettle which is also easy to clean."

"Well designed & built with quick fill and good balance. It is difficult to see fill level and power switch seems a possible weak point, but time will tell. Boils quickly but is not as quiet as expected which is an important fact in a kitchen dinner."
