Challenge 2kW Oil Filled Radiator. 4.5 5 198 230
Great heater Bought as waiting for new boiler to be installed. Throws out loads of heat and has been very useful and would recommend. 29 April 2014
Small, compact and Efficient Very good quality product , once it heats up, it maintains the room at a nice tempreture 25 February 2014
Great heater and even on the lowest setting kicks out a lot of heat! 12 February 2014
A bit rubbish really. Our central heating went on the blink whilst we were having building work done so we bought this as a short term fix. It takes the chill off the room but it far from makes it warm. We used it to heat a normal sized dining room which shouldn't have been too demanding. 14 January 2014
Good product I would recommend this product for use when you only want to heat one room. It does a good job of it. 2kW heater was enough to heat our open plan living room and kitchen area sufficiently. The only 'issue' is that its only really warm when it is on its highest settings. The other settings are pointless and do not provide much heat at all. 12 January 2014

Answer:
Hi Danielle,

Thank you for your question.

I can confirm that the majority of oil-filled radiators are rated at less than 1 kWh, which makes them cheaper to operate than a fan heater on an hourly basis. However, in order to fully heat a room, oil-filled radiators have to be left on for longer. So the running costs of oil-filled radiators and fan heaters work out to be very similar.

Thanks for using Q&A.

As far as i know, these radiators are already filled up with oil and will never need to top-up them again;
BUT
One of answer made me unsure, and a small bottle of oil can be seen on the picture...

Answer:
We've had our 3 years now and never topped itvupbwith oil and it doesn't say anything on the instruction about topping it up. Great little heater but one of our wheels fell of from moving it from conservatory to kitchen but is 3 years old!
