Customer reviews and ratings

Challenge 2kW Convector Heater with Timer. 4.3 5 251 295
Not much to it but does the job You'll be amazed at how empty the product is, it really is a metal box. It does though have a really useful timer that allows the heater to be fired up and working before you enter the room. 07 October 2014
Good features Only recently bought this heater so full potential of it's efficiency cannot be given, will have to wait to tell! Nevertheless, has a good timer, easy to put together, and it is light weight. 09 September 2014
keeping our living room warm We had 1 last year but unfortunately that broke we hope this one will last longer. 04 September 2014
It does what it's made for This heater is lightweight and it does what's been made for. We haven't tried the timer yet, but average room is warm within couple of minutes on full power. 03 September 2014
Faulty This heater was useless as the feet could not be assembled to the underside of the heater. This was because the screw holes in the heater did not align with the screw holes on the feet.. so could not be assembled. Unfortunately this meant my 80 year old mother having no heat overnight and the temperature was 8°c. I then had to go back over to Argos the following day and buy another one. You would have expected better quality checks before goods were sold to customers. 27 August 2014

Answer:
Sorry I don't know. The details as I bought it for my son s bedroom
He is delighted with, very efficient, gives him a background heat and has cured the damp in his wardrobe, also realistically priced. I would think it would be ideal for a caravan

I have rotated the dial to current time 7pm. And as per my requirement of heat, I have set the red teeth switched in front of time(each number). It doesn't work for me!! I tried setting the red teeths outwards and also inwards. Also, the slider is set to clock symbol and the heater is ON. No Luck!!

Please help!!!!!!!!!!

Answer:
After setting the fingers to the times you want, gently turn the timer dial a full circle in the direction that it turns normally (it should only turn in one direction). This allows the fingers to operate the switch properly. If you still get no heat, check the power supply

A lot of people make the mistake of setting the time first, then pressing the fingers in/out afterwards. With this kind of timer doing it this way usually means that the switch, that powers the device up, isn't activated

Answer:
Look at the extension lead youre using - it will say something like "max 720W fully wound, max 3150W fully unwound"

This is a 2000 watt heater; be safe and unwind your extension all the way otherwise it might well catch fire and burn your house down.

Don't coil the wire on top of itself after unwinding.

DON'T make your own extension lead out of a bit of wire - the fact that you even asked a question like this implies you haven't got the professional qualifications necessary. Safety first!
