Challenge 2kW Convector Heater with Timer. 4.3 5 327 371
Ideal product This heater was ideal for taking the chill out of the conservatory and stable on it's legs. The fitted timer means u can set it to turn on and off itself making it more reliable. I would recommend this product. 21 April 2015
heat This heater is great this is the third time I've bought it. Put them in all my bedrooms 16 April 2015
Convector heater It does exactly what it says and is perfect for where we need it. 08 April 2015
Heater with timer. Good quality, small and light but still very efficient. The timer gives accurate 15 minutes interval on and off option over 24 hours. 07 April 2015
Good with one caveat Really effective and having 3 heat output levels works well whether just a bit chilly or very cold. Only gripe is the timer is very fiddly and the on/off switch also feels a bit fragile. Would be much better with an electronic set of controls. Light and very portable. The mains cable isn't overly long so check if you will need an extension lead. Also check you don't put it under a smoke detector as it made mine go off as it burnt off dust that had settled! All in all though it does the job well. 01 April 2015

Timer

2 months, 2 weeks ago
Hi,

Is the timer one that will make the heater come on at a certain time only? Or can the time make it come on and off after a certain period of time? If so, can the timer be used for multiple times with the timer being set only once? For example, turn on at 4am, off at 5am, then back on a 6am, then off at 7am, etc?

Thank you.

Answer:
Hi,
Yes, you can set this on multiple times to go on and off. The timer has plastic teeth that you push out for the times you want it to come on. Then if you don't want the timer and just want constant heat, you change the switch. It's so easy to use.

Answer:
Hi there,

I would be unable to answer the question accurately as the amount this costs to run would depend on many factors.

I can however advise that If it was on continuously for 1 hour (if thermostat didn?t operate) it would use 2KWh of energy but this is unlikely to happen. The heater will turn on and off based on the ambient room temperature, room heat loss and the thermostat setting by the user.

I hope this helps and thanks for using Argos Q&A.

Answer:
Hi Driver,

Thank you for your question.

I can confirm that the lowest temperature isn't marked on the product or known by the supplier but it does have a frost setting, which can be used to protect frost by not letting an area get too cool.

Thanks for using Argos Q&A.

Answer:
I have mine sitting on a carpet - but the instructions do say the carpet must be short pile, which makes sense re. fire hazard etc.
