I'm looking for a fan heater to use to warm up a large tent on cold nights. Will this unit work on a standard tent electric hookup (10amp, 240v)?

This unit looks perfect but worried it could cause the electric hookup to trip.

Answer:
I would suggest you fit a 5amp fuse in the plug to protect your 10amp hook up & ensure other equipment doesn't create an overload. Replace all 13 amp fuses with fuses that relate to the relevant appliance. I would recommend this heater for tent use, because it has an efficient Tilt Switch, which I found useful TO SWITCH ONE OF MINE OFF IN A HURRY!! Incidentally I'm an ex camper so I suggest you have a flat level surface under this type of heater..

Answer:
Not sure, could be a few things. We use our one when we are away in the caravan. Only time that we found it stopped was if it wasn't on level ground, so the button underneath wasn't pushed in properly for it to operate. The only other thing that it might be, could be the fuse in the plug. If it is neither of these options, sounds like its the heater that is broken x

Answer:
Perhaps the anti-tilt cut out switch on the bottom has triggered. Make sure the appliance is on a firm, flat surface. Placing it on a thick rug sometimes causes it to cut out as it wobbles easily.
