Customer reviews and ratings

Dimplex Eco OFRC15C 1.5kW Oil Free Column Radiator. 4.6 5 164 177
A good room heater I have had Dimplex oil filled radiators before and have found them to be a quick and economic way to heat up a room. This oil free heater is even better, (and much lighter) but if I had to criticize, I would say it needs a carrying handle on both sides, not just one. Also the type of feet and how they stick out can catch your foot when moving it around. 25 June 2015
just the job no timer , but gives out good heat when set and easy to move around when required 10 June 2015
Great little heater Was looking for a small, safe, portable heater for our static caravan. This heater is perfect. Very mobile with wheels so can easily be moved from room to room. Not too big so doesn't take up too much space in a confined space. Can be left on a low setting overnight or adequately heats a room quickly when turned up a notch or 2. Really pleased with this purchase. 26 May 2015
Practical and unobtrusive This is a good product for my elderly mother. She can move it around easily as it's quite light. Was very handy during the cold weather as she could move it for a bit of extra heat where and when needed - it plugs into a normal socket. Only problem is that the dials for heat regulation are not that easy to read - but it can be left on a certain setting and the thermostat regulates it OK. 23 April 2015
I love my Dimplex I was pleasantly surprised to find that during a sudden, even colder snap over winter, the addition of this modestly-sized eco-heater to a large, high-ceilinged lounge made enough difference to not have to burn high gas bills by keeping my main heaters on. It's simple to use, light, wheels around easily and packs away snugly during the summer. I am actually thinking of getting a second one for the bedroom. Much better than any fan heater or other mobile systems that I've had in the past. 21 April 2015

Answer:
No, the instructions state that you should not cover the heater when in operation. You would be able to place clothes nearby the heater, but not covering it.

I need the radiator to fit into a small space for storage when not in use so I would prefer not to use the wheels.

Answer:
Hi there,

This radiator must only be operated with the wheels and castors fitted and in the upright position. The clearance space is irrelevant as long as the unit is not covered, obstructed or positioned near any furniture.

Thanks for using Argos Q&A.

Answer:
The wheels are attached to two metal bars which are at right angles to the heater. They are quickly screwed on underneath using wing nuts. These could easily be removed when not in use but for portability and safety would probably need to be attached when in use.

Answer:
I install the wheels on mind because I want to move it around my studio, but if I was leaving it in one place then I would have left the wheels off, as long as the floor area was flat so that it did not tip over, then you should be okay.
