Dimplex DXUF30T 3kW Upright Fan Heater. 4.2 5 148 171
Product is great - better than Curry's 07 April 2015
Dimplex fan Heater Nice compact heater, simple controls and portable. 30 March 2015
Fan heater for a workshop I bought this heater to be able to bring my shed temperature up quickly in addition to a background electric radiator. It seems to work very well and turns itself off and on as expected. It is fine for my purpose I probably wouldn't consider it for domestic use because of the noise (not too bad for a quick burst) So generally it has done what it says on the tin and it is nice tidy item easy to store and move around I am happy with it 26 March 2015
Excellent. Well worth the money, does the job. 24 March 2015
Great to use Perfectly fine with this product, good to use, warms me well 24 March 2015

Hi,

I have checked with Dimplex and they advise they do not recommend using extension cables with their products.

Answer:
Thank you for your query regarding the cost of running the Dimplex DXUF30T 3kW Upright Fan Heater.

Without defining what is considered to be expensive and without knowing personal information such as your energy provider?s tariffs and so on, I cannot give accurate information regarding this. The manufacturer advises to calculate its cost in this way:

Energy input (kW) X pence per kWh = approximate running cost per hour

Costs will also be affected by the size of the space in which it is to be used and how well insulated that space is already, as well as how long it would be run for. The product does have different heat settings, which will vary this, depending on the setting it is put on. However, thermostatic controls regulate its heat and energy use, which will help minimise its overall energy use though.

Thank you for using Argos Q&A.

Answer:
I haven't noticed an enormous hike in the energy bills but what I have found is it warms the room up extremely fast so you find yourself switching it off for a while anyway. I would give it a go if I were you because it is a good product and as I say you have control and the heating up is really fast as opposed to central heating which can take its time.

Answer:
It's about 1.5 metres - admittedly not the longest cable in the world but it depends where you want to put the heater. Hope this helps.
