Dyson DC19T2 Bagless Cylinder Vacuum Cleaner. 4.5 5 285 291
Very Pleased! Over the moon with this. The style takes a bit of getting used to, having only ever had uprights, but now I've got the hang of pulling it around behind me, it's great! Very powerful suction; even having hovered with my old model the day before, I was ashamed at the amount this sucked up! The tools are also very effective, which is unusual for a Dyson. The long handle makes it great for stairs, and the smaller attachments are very handy for furniture. Looking forward to using it in the car! 23 November 2014
Is it better than an upright Dyson? It performs ok, but not as good as the DC04 it replaced. Its small and easy to use. Quite heavy for a little one! Real down side is obviously you have to empty it so often. If you are daily cleaners than it isn't a problem. We are 5 adults plus a hairy dog and it needs emptying nearly every time. Having the attachments hanging on the hose is a bit odd too, but at least they are at hand when needed. 10 November 2014
DC19 Good piece of equipment and great suction. Just what is needed with a pet at home. Bit heavy but over wise well pleased with this Dyson. 07 November 2014

Just received new Dyson DC19DB - my first Dyson! am stuck on assembling it as the hose just seems to sit inside the machine, can't see a way to fix it there, also how does the hose extend or stretch to do the stairs? when I tried, it simply fell out of the machine!! I'm obviously missing the technology gene!! Please help!

Answer:
Hello, thank you for your question.

I have checked with the manufacturer about the Dyson DC19DB Bagless Cylinder Vacuum Cleaner and I can confirm when referring to the operating manual, part 1 labelled on the manual refers to the hose connection this should click onto the side on vacuum cleaner just above the wheel is this connection. Make sure this has clicked otherwise it hasn?t properly connected, also depending on how you prefer to clean stairs, part 2 on the operating manual shows an example of where this part of the hose can either be connected to the lightweight adjustable wand or unconnected.

I hope this helps and enjoy the rest of the day.

Answer:
Hi there,

Our machines are made from modified blends of materials chosen for strength, flexibility and tolerance. The telescopic wand supplied with DC19dB is made of polypropylene reinforced with glass fibres. The joints are spun welded to prevent air leaks and increase suction at the floor tool.

Like all of our upright and cylinder vacuums, DC19dB comes with a 5-year guarantee, which reflects our confidence in the machine's durability. This is backed by extensive testing both before launch and throughout production. We wouldn't expect you to have any issues with the wand, but if you have further queries at any point our experts are on hand to help.

Best wishes,

Hi, thank you for your question.

Having looked into this for you, I do apologise I would be unable to state whether this is stronger than any other brand of hoover. Please take a look at the customer reviews for this item to give you an insight to what people who have purchased this item think about its performance.

Thank you for using Argos Q&A.

Combination tool/brush/stair stool included

2 years, 9 months ago
Could you confirm whether the "combination tool/ brush/stair stool" that is included (according to the product information) is the same as the "Dyson Mini Turbine Vacuum Cleaner Head" (item 408/3463)?
Thanks.

Answer:
Just bought a DC19DB myself, having previously owned DC02, DC04+ and DC14A models. I can confirm that the Argos described "combination tool/ brush/stair stool" (sic - stool??) that is included in the box is much more like the tool Dyson themselves describe as the "stubborn dirt brush" attachment. And NOT at all like the "Mini Turbine Vacuum Cleaner head" you can buy separately. The latter is very similar (if not identical to?) the "Animal" alternative cleaner head that has an air powered rotating brush, like a small version of an upright's rotating brush head. Very good those are, but definitely NOT in the box with the 19DB.
I think what Argos are trying to refer to is the fact the DC19DB arrives with THREE tools in the box, not the two that some other models include. The three are:
- combination narrow / crevice nozzle with built in slide into use brush.
- stair tool
- stubborn dirt brush tool (slightly stiffer bristles than "normal" but still a small, fixed head, no moving parts tool).
The 19DB is still a great weapon in the cleaner house war, even without the Turbine Head (I have one of those from the DC14Animal).

Please answer asap as I'm desperate for a new vacuum and I'm between this one and the Dyson DC19T2 but I need to know what the difference is. There must be something for the item number to be different?

Answer:
I can confirm as a user that the DC19DB (also known as the "DC19T3" it seems) is considerably less noisy than any previous Dyson I have owned or used. (Which is very welcome!) But that doesn't detract from its excellent all round performance. It would appear as first reply said that the DB is a quieter update on the T2 which itself has excellent reviews. One assumes the "DB" stands for reduced DeciBels?

Thank you for your question.

I have looked into this and I can confirm that the Dyson DC19DB is the newer version of the DC19T2 and is designed for dust and dirt removal on all floor types - not just carpets. It also has a new motor and sound absorbing materials for reduced noise levels.

Thank you for using Argos Q&A.
