Wished I hadn't bothered

"On paper seemed like a good value cyclonic vacuum cleaner. On getting it out of the box it became clear it was poorly balanced, the handle was too short and the machine was too heavy to push over a fairly thick carpet. The wheels were too small and made a cheap squeaking noise.
I took the product back to exchange for a Dyson which I should have bought in the first place."

"Super suction and the brush realy picks up anything, the only reason for not getting 5 stars is: it is very heavy to manuvoure givin you a realy good workout while operating this beast. two hands needed. So put on your shorts and T-shirt and start the workout- surprized it did not come with a fitness DVD."

"Excellent machine. Only downside is that it is rather heavy. I do not 'run round with the hoover' anymore, I take it more slowly.......... it is good excercise for the upper body!!!!!!!!"

Excellent on carpets

"Powerful suction and effective dust collection meant an almost embarrassing amount of muck came of the carpets the first time we used this vacuum.
In order to maintain the cleaning power, the cyclone air ducts have to be cleaned to remove dog hairs and debris, about once a month in my limited experience. This is a chore but simple to do.
We also have a Miele cylinder cleaner (a 5000 cat and dog) which we find better on hard floors but the bags are expensive and it doesn't clean the carpets anywhere near as good as the Vax."
