Customer reviews and ratings

Panasonic NN-CT552W 27L Slimline Combi Microwave - White. 4.6 5 288 308
Panasonic slimline combi mircrowavee I bought this microwave for my 83yr. old mother, because it is so simple to use and is very reliable. I have had my Panasonic for yrs. and it has never let me down. 14 October 2014
Panasonic Slimline Combi This combination model is great! I got the white one which looks great on my black worktop. I haven't read the instruction manual as its so easy to use! The jacket potato option is great! Just wash pierce and time it! I hope that the reviews I read before ordering are all true as my previous combi which was a Sanyo model and much larger in size lasted 13 years with no problems! Would recommend. 14 October 2014
Panasonic Microwave NN-CT552W Superb machine for design and performance. Up to Panasonics high manufacturing standards. 07 October 2014
Great but unreliable Reserved this item to replace a faulty one. At only 9 months old and very infrequent usage my 'old' one blew up. Something went bang just after I'd used the oven, the main house fuse blew but the plug fuse didn't. Not holding out much hope for this replacement one lasting very long but I do like the design and ease of use of this model... 23 September 2014
Usual Panasonic competence As we had had a Panasonic microwave for over 20 years so purchasing another one was a 'no brainer'! As mentioned by another reviewer the power cable is VERY short and is clearly designed to be plugged into a socket at the rear of the appliance. Just OK in our case, but only just. Other than that it all works well. 02 September 2014

Answer:
The Jacket potato function on this microwave cooks the best Baked Potatoes I have tasted.
You just press the jacket potato button and set the weight.
It cooks them combining the microwave and the convection oven at the same time .
Inside soft and fluffy (depending on the potatoes,I use King Edwards) outside Nice dry skin.
Because it uses the combination of Microwave and Convection oven it cooks fast about 14 Minutes for 400g potato.

Answer:
For one potato, microwave for roughly six to eight minutes until it is soft enough to put a knife into. Then remove it and heat the convection part of the oven on it's highest heat. Brush oil on to the potato. When the oven has reached it's temperature, put the potato onto the rack and cook for approx. thirteen minutes. Lovely!
Of course it depends on the size of potato and how many you're doing, it's trial and error but very easy once you've done it a couple of times. Enjoy!

The microwave would sit in close proximity to the left of a fridge freezer (and directly on top of a freezer). Where does the heat from the microwave escape whilst in use ie. top / back / right / left / underneath - would this microwave be appropriate bearing in mind the position of the fridge freezer? Obviously if the heat escapes to the right of the microwave, or underneath, the answer would be a resounding no.
