Panasonic NN-E271WMBPQ 20L Solo Microwave - White. 4.6 5 172 181
A good clean looking smallish microwave that dosen't take up too much room on the worktop but still takes a large plate. Easy to operate. Would recommend. 12 November 2014
panasonic microwave oven i have purchased this item because it did not cost a great deal of money. i did not want a cheap microwave as they tend not last as long as i want them to. i wanted one that was also made by a major manufacture of electrical goods. this product is perfect for me because it is a small size. it is easy to use 2 buttons to tap in how long you want it to cook.it cooks very well, food being hot.i use this everyday when i come home from work as it is easy to cook my dinner in the microwave. 02 November 2014
Highly recommend. To use the microwave you need to set the clock first. But if you want to make it easier just put a value in the clock by pressing Timer / Clock twice, once you see this : flashing press the Seconds digit once until a value shows, and then press clock once again to stop : flashing. For power setting press the micro power button for the desired input. The green cursor will show the power setting. Press every time before you press start. 17 October 2014
Good workmanlike product A simple and effective microwave. It is pretty straightforward to use - not quite as easy as the previous model it replaces because it requires you to select a power level before anything else works. This is irritating but most other microwaves I looked at have this same 'feature' so I guess it is some regulatory nonsense. Apart from that a well made basic product that does what is says on the tin. Buy one, you won't regret it. 14 October 2014
nothing negative to say about this microwave. Perfect in every way, easy to use. Highly recommended. 08 October 2014

Large chunks of the paint have already started to blister and peel off inside after 15 months. Having done some research on-line we now know that this is a common problem with this and many other Panasonic microwaves - this is VERY poor for an expensive premium brand. We have had NO joy at all from Panasonic Customer Service, who unbelievably even refuse to accept the original order and emailed invoice/receipt as proof of purchase.

Answer:
I have had many Panasonic microwaves and have never had a problem such as just described. The only thing that I believe could cause something like that is putting an obstruction over the vent which can either be on top or at the side. This can make the outside of the microwave very hot.
