Microwave Nice colour, a bit smaller than I thought but looks great and goes well in the kitchen and cooks ok 04 June 2014
Everything I wanted in a microwave I'm really happy with this microwave . I did purchase a Russel Hobbs m/wave last year but a few weeks ago it caught fire! Thank goodness I was in my kitchen at the time. I informed Russel Hobbs and sent a photograph to prove it, but they said there engineer said there were crumbs on the side mesh which is nonsense because I wipe my micro/wave out every time it's used and what they saw were the black burn marks as a result of the fire. They refused to replace it. 03 June 2014

I find that most microwaves bleep excessively and too loudly, there's no need for any bleeping these days as quiet microwaves are a thing of the past!

I bought the microwave yesterday, 14/5/14..Ive used it today for the first time..cooked a chicken dinner in it..after 8 minutes there was only half the meal visible..i opened the door but the steam was between the glass..the microwave was also very hot on the outside..no visible vents..i have owned several over the years and never seen this before..is there something wrong with the seal?

Can it be used as a built in microwave

2 months, 4 weeks ago
The microwave will be installed within a built in unit within the kitchen. If it can be used as built in microwave what are the requirements with gaps etc

Answer:
Hi, thanks for your question.

I have checked with the manufacturer for you and I can confirm that the Morphy Richards EM820CPTF-PM 20L Solo Microwave is not designed to be used as a built-in microwave, as it requires a minimum 7.5cm clearance around it and 30cm above it.

Thank you for using Question and Answer.
