Old fashion version better This game hasn't changed a lot over the years, I for one preferred the old version, you expect body parts, not toothpaste tubes etc, the holes are a lot bigger than they used to be, even my 4 yr got all pieces out without touching the sides, so after doing it a couple of times, he got bored 22 April 2014
Operation Excellent board game for all the family to enjoy. 28 January 2014
Not as good as when I was a child Bought this for my nephew at christmas. Rather disappointed, but that maybe because I remember what the game used to be like. The holes are all so large you can practically remove the pieces with your fingers. Also, all anatomical pieces have gone: you aren't removing the 'funny bone' any more' or dealing with 'water on the knee'. These days you are trying to remove the ipod from the ear and the mobile phone from the hand. Luckily my nephew doesn't know how it used to be. 24 January 2014
Operation This is not the same game that was available when I was younger, not body parts anymore, things like a knife and fork and headphones?!?! The holes where the pieces actually go are so big they can be picked out with my fingers! Very disappointed and will be returning for a refund and seeking out the original game 11 January 2014
Too easy I loved this game as a kid so bought it for my 4yr old this Christmas. I don't know what they have done to it but there is no challenge to it any more, even for a 4 yr old. She easily took all the pieces out without making the buzzer go off. I'm not sure who it is aimed at these days as it says 4+ on the box. Extremely disappointed. 10 January 2014

Answer:
Hi wen567.

I have looked in the instruction booklet for the Operation Board Game and can advise that it requires 2 x AA batteries (recommended alkaline). I have notified the relevant department so this information can be amended on our website.

Thank you for using Argos Q&A.
