"i bought this for my 8 year old daughter. it is not worth the packet it is rapped in. she was hoping it was going to buzz when it went over metal but got nothing"

Worst purchase ever

"Bought this for my 10 year grandson - luckily I tested it before giving it to him. My husband and I followed the instructions to set the machine up and when it was working it couldn't even detect a large metal spanner on the floor. Tried it with coins and a silver ashtray hidden under leaves in the garden; it couldn't detect those either. I returned it to Argos the following day and received a full refund. I cannot recommend that anyone buys this."

"Bought this because I had lost some keys on a walk. It only registers about half an inch from any metal, so realy is just a kiddies toy."

"I am glad I decided to ignore all the negative feedback on this product, it worked well, my grandson loved it and for a 7 year old who wanted to experiment it was perfect, no point in buying an expensive adult version"
