Challenge Crusade 700C Hybrid Bike - Mens'. 4.1 5 112 124
Challenge Crusade Bicycle A good general purpose bike, very well made given its price. I've used mine for going to work, shopping and riding the trails and its has performed admirably the 6 gears are well spaced and adequate for me. It proved straight forward to put together using the tools that came with the bike, therefore I am more than happy to recommend this bicycle. 05 May 2015
Challenge crusade bike the challenge crusade bike : was a bit sceptical about the price, thought it might not have been up to standard , but having used it for over a month now on a daily basis, I am pleasantly surprised at how good it actually performs, for the price you pay. similar type bikes are a lot more expensive. 23 April 2015

Answer:
Hi,

I can advise that the handlebars are not adjustable. The easiest gear should be comparable to the middle chain ring on a mountain bike. It would be possible to change the seat.

I hope this helps

I was thinking of purchasing this bike but was wondering how much assembly was required?
Also what tools are required or are they included?

Answer:
Depending on how DIY you are, the bike is easy to assemble. However, fine adjustments of brakes and gears are needed, but youtube is a good source of info on how to get it done.

I assembled it at the back of an Argos store as I thought it was sold already assembled. This to say that the tools required are in the box but if you have better spanners, screwdrivers, etc, it won't hurt.

Replacement mud guard

1 year, 1 month ago
Bought this bike not to long ago, and I've managed to snap the front mudguard after dropping the bike accidentally. Would I be able to purchase the identical mudguard that originally came with the bike so it still looks standard?
Many thanks

And to anyone looking to purchase the bike, it's great value and works wonders for little treks back and forth!

I bought this bike today and have spent the last 45 minutes trying to figure out how to attach the handlebars/stem to the fork and one does simply not slide in the other. I have by now scratched off most of the paint on the bottomside of the stem, so clearly, it does not fit.
The instructions are vague and not helpful at all.

Does anyone know by any chance of some clearer instructions or maybe even a video so I can see what I am doing wrong?

Thanks!

Answer:
This bike is the worst thing I've ever bought. Talk about getting nowhere slow. The effort put in and distance covered ratio is dismal. I've switched back to the rusty bike I was planning to replace with this. This bike is absolute rubbish and this is the first time I've ever written a bad review for any Argos product. Thoroughly disappointed.

Answer:
Hi,

Hybrid bikes are designed for commuting about town but are also suitable for light off road use.

Tyres with tread suitable for on and off road use and a slightly more upright riding position designed for comfort are typical of a hybrid set up.

I hope this helps

Not sure of the exact inside leg measurement, but my son is a little over 5ft and it is just about o.k for him at lowest height.
