Challenge Crusade 26 Inch Hybrid Bike - Men's. 4.1 5 89 98
Very good for the price I bought this bike for my boyfriend for his birthday. He loves it and it's a very good bike for the price. It took about an hour to build and he loves to cycle it 09 September 2014
Go for a better bike this an entry Level Hybrid I went to store, viewed the product, then went back home viewed the other reviews. I eventually purchased the Cross 700C Hybrid Bikes for Men & Ladies'. I am glad I did so. I can only score what I observed, however I use to make cycles in my early engineering days, I think I am a reasonable expert on build quality. 09 September 2014
Great townbike for adults of all ages. Excellent value, more than pleased with it. . . I use it to cycle 10 miles a day to work. The 6 gears are all that's needed, even for steep hills. If it was to get stolen,i would go down to Argos to buy another one. . . it's that good. Paul 49 Belfast. 26 August 2014
Excellent For the price, this is an excellent bike. It's a solid bike, not too heavy and has a comfortable riding position. The seat is not too hard and the adjustable handlebars are a nice touch. Only six gears but that's plenty for me, you can trundle along at a nice speed and it's geared nicely for the steeper hills. Very easy to put together, it took me about three quarters of an hour and the instruction booklet is nice and clear. Very pleased with this bike. 06 August 2014
good sturdy bike Good sturdy bike that took longer to put together than expected, needs a gel saddle but a good bike for the price. 05 August 2014

Answer:
Hi,

This bike should be compatible with a child's bike trailer, I would recommend checking the fitting instructions of the bike trailer to make sure.

Answer:
Hi,

I can advise that the handlebars are not adjustable. The easiest gear should be comparable to the middle chain ring on a mountain bike. It would be possible to change the seat.

I hope this helps

I was thinking of purchasing this bike but was wondering how much assembly was required?
Also what tools are required or are they included?

Answer:
Depending on how DIY you are, the bike is easy to assemble. However, fine adjustments of brakes and gears are needed, but youtube is a good source of info on how to get it done.

I assembled it at the back of an Argos store as I thought it was sold already assembled. This to say that the tools required are in the box but if you have better spanners, screwdrivers, etc, it won't hurt.

Replacement mud guard

Bought this bike not to long ago, and I've managed to snap the front mudguard after dropping the bike accidentally. Would I be able to purchase the identical mudguard that originally came with the bike so it still looks standard?
Many thanks

And to anyone looking to purchase the bike, it's great value and works wonders for little treks back and forth!

I bought this bike today and have spent the last 45 minutes trying to figure out how to attach the handlebars/stem to the fork and one does simply not slide in the other. I have by now scratched off most of the paint on the bottomside of the stem, so clearly, it does not fit.
The instructions are vague and not helpful at all.

Does anyone know by any chance of some clearer instructions or maybe even a video so I can see what I am doing wrong?

Thanks!

Answer:
This bike is the worst thing I've ever bought. Talk about getting nowhere slow. The effort put in and distance covered ratio is dismal. I've switched back to the rusty bike I was planning to replace with this. This bike is absolute rubbish and this is the first time I've ever written a bad review for any Argos product. Thoroughly disappointed.

Answer:
Hi,

Hybrid bikes are designed for commuting about town but are also suitable for light off road use.

Tyres with tread suitable for on and off road use and a slightly more upright riding position designed for comfort are typical of a hybrid set up.

I hope this helps
