what is involved in adjusting the brakes & gears if i buy a the col de turni braus road bike from argos please? i am considering purchasing the above bike i am not sure how much work is involved in adjusting the brakes and the gears can you give me an indication please
Its very straight forward, you just adjust the cables on the brakes to suit your style of riding, I.e. how much tension you want when pulling lever. And centering the brakes, so the brake blocks ware even ( N/A if cycle has brake discs ) As for gears, same again really just a case of hooking up cables, and adjusting front and rear chain de-railers until you get smooth changes. Both jobs only require use of screwdriver/wrench/pliers. If any specific tools are needed, these are included. I.e. allen key for a small bolt/screw. If you've ever owned a bike youll be fine.
