Sony Cube Clock Radio - Black. 4.6 5 11 11
sony cube Bought one of these as it looked good and being Sony you expect quality, however this clock made random noises throughout the night even with the volume turned off, it kept me awake most of the night. Thinking it was faulty I returned it for another one, all seemed well until night and the same noises started. I returned that one and bought a different make. There is a serious manufacturing fault with this unit so I would not recommend this clock. Shame really as its the best looker of them all. 22 October 2014
excellent product Good size and modern design. A brilliant feature is the ability to have the light at three different levels so it can never be too bright. 21 October 2014
BRILLIANT RADIO ALARM I found this perfect. It does exactly what it says. After my 40 year old Sony "alarm set time" packed up I looked for a new radio alarm. This is a pretty basic radio alarm and simple to use but has just want you need and is easy to use. GREAT PRICE. Radio also works on it's own with a push of a button. I am just so pleased to be able to still get a decent radio alarm as I don't like using mobile phone as a wake up. PERFECT. TOP MARKS SONY!! 21 October 2014
Radio Bought this as a gift for my grandsons birthday and he loves it, so no complaints. 14 October 2014
Compact and easy to set up Doesn't take up too much room on the bedside cabinet, nice shape and clock easy too see in the dark. Radio works well and sound is good. Very pleased. 07 October 2014

Some alarm clocks have a battery slot so that they can cope with a power failure, does this one?

Answer:
According to the Sony website, yes it does. It is a CR2032 coin cell. Not sure if it is included or not, but the CR2032 is widely available.

Answer:
Yes it does have a battery backup. It's already installed from the factory. It is a large watch style battery, the one that's in will last for years.

The plug on my last one blew up, so I want something with a plug that's safe to leave on all day while I'm out.

Answer:
As the clock radio is rated at 240volts(as well as the backup battery), it does not have a transformer plug, but has a normal 13Amp plug. This is safe to leave on at all times.
