The Green Ninja Returns... First off I'd like to say that this set was placed at an excellent price point. The price/piece ratio is very good. The set itself has some ups and downs, but I'll get to that in a second. The minifigures in this set are awesome! There is very detailed printing on Cyrus Borg's hairpeice, and Lloyd looks completely epic (as usual). I like that we finally get a vehical for the Green Ninja. The motercycle is nice and sleek looking, and it's unique to the other Ninjago motercycles, because it's not big and bulky, it's small and stealthy which is fitting for a ninja. You can't sneek up on the bad guys with a motercycle the size of a tank now can you? The tank bike, I was not really impressed...It just didn't seem to fit. I mean I don't think it's horribal, I just thought it wasn't the greatest build Lego could have produced. Prehaps if they had thrown in a few more minifigures and taken out the tank bike it would be a lot better. A Ninjago Battle Pack (I like the sound of that). Anyhow, overall I think it's a pretty good set. All you Green Ninja fans should definatly consider buying it. 22 June 2014
Overborg Attack Lets pick of this set model by model. Lloyd-this minifigure is well done and doesn't need to be over complicated, just his bandanna, armor and printing, 10/10 can't see it any better Cyrusborg/Overborg- this minifigure is outstanding with his mold and printing perfect 10/10 Lloyds vehicle-this vehicle is simple and a great looking piece for lloyd not too big or too small. Does what its made for 7/10 Overborgs vehicle- the tread moves nicely on hard surfaces and the features are nice. great 9/10 ramp- the ramp does what it should do well and the details give a nice street like appearance yet could benefit with street lights and signs to give a more dimensional and busy city-like feel. 7/10 26 January 2014
Good Set I thought it was okay, but not my favorite purchase ever. I thought that it was a bit plain. I would have replaced those two green pieces on the front of Lloyd's motorcycle with a single green piece (like in the rear) and put a sticker on it. When I put the cycle together, I decided that I would add some small pieces to the side, like those small, round one-stud transparent red pieces, which I added as taillights, and some gold/silver ones on the frame between the wheels, just for decoration. I really liked how the cycle was built, its one of my favorite designs, but I just felt that it needed more detail. I thought that the idea with the spider legs was really cool, although i have some trouble getting them to adhere to the Overborg cycle at times, I'm sure there may have been a way to make that easier for play. I liked Lloyd's hair piece. (who doesn't?) And Cyrus was neat as well. I'm wondering why you made Cyrus' face double sided (Overborg and human), but there was no regular human hair for him? I just thought that was worth mentioning. And what's with the fire hydrant/garbage can? I felt that you could have used the money to produce those city things for the set in better ways, like perhaps minor upgrades to Lloyd's cycle? Overall, an okay buy. A must for Ninjago minifig collectors (like myself.) I hope to see more sets like this in the future, with new themes (return of the pirates, perhaps?) I was disappointed when there weren't any pirate sets for season 3. And another thing on the side, I would like to have a Misako minifigure. And one for Nya as well. I know that they aren't that important, but really. They're cool. And I want Nya's hair. :) 18 January 2014

No Techno Blade?Heck no Techno! My title reflects my disappointed feelings on the set as whole. I decided to order this set because I was also getting the other twenty dollar NInjago set the Kai Fighter. I wasn't exactly sure about this set for a few reasons: -The obvious cliche slipped in the tittle( The Borg Cube, ring any bells) -The obvious cliche slipped in the Cyrus Borg character( The Borg, again) -And the tiny motorbike included with the Lloyd minifigure -And no techno blade! So I built it and my speculations were right! But first let's talk about the good things. The Lloyd Garmadon Minifig is excellent. He has great printing and armor, both used appropriately. Only thing is, that there is no techno blade used in this set. Maybe why that's the way it is will be released in the show, when it comes out. The Cyrus Borg minifigure, well at least I can make a Captain Picard in borg form. For you people who haven't gotten any of my Star Trek jokes , the Borg is a species of half robot half human space age zombies who famously quoted "resistance is futile". Thus brings me to the big cliche reacuring throughout the Rebooted theme, It either mimics Star Trek or Terminator or some other sort of sci-fi franchise. It's not original. The actual Overborg tank is an okay design, other than the lack of detail it the actual tread area. However the absolute worst design I have seen in a Ninjago set comes from the duel rotating saw blades on both sides of the vehicle. If you pick the thing up, the saws will flop all over the place, simply because the designers decided it would be great to put the saws on different pins. A simple axle or two makes the saws more sturdy. I've gone through a lot of trouble fiddling with the thing, to find that the spinning saw design doesn't even work properly. This set demonstrates the lack of effort throughout the Ninjago team. On the whole, a mixed bag of emotions for this one. I like the little motorbike included this set, and the minifigs sure do add something, but the tank, fails to impress me. Would of made this set purely a green Ninja motorbike with really cool features. Overall I'm giving this one a low 6.4 for the minifigs. But ultimately, the cliche brings it down to 6.3. At least we know the designers watch Star Trek. 26 December 2013
