LEGO® Star Wars Vulture Droid - 75041. 4.7 5 11 11
vulture droid since they haven't made a vulture since 2009 or so i thought it looks pretty good for 25 dollars. so i got it from my friend for my birthday. its a nice ship it looks good. nice number of figures in this set. just don't know if they were the best picks. the pilot and buzz droid are fitting for the battle with the invisible hand. the neimoidian is not really the best though since they're really only shown when anikan is sent to mustafar to kill the seperatists. i think a better figure would be a new magma guard because they are seen on the invisible hand. good set like grevious wheel bike set i dont think it is as good as anikans interceptor but its a fair set 13 August 2014
Vulture Droid Though not as unique General Grievous's Wheelbike (which also came out in the early 2014 wave), this set is still a very good set. $24.99 is a decent value for a 205 piece set. It's also great because it comes with three mini figures: A pilot battle droid, a buzz droid, and a new Neimodian Guard. The Vulture Droid includes a cockpit function in which you can fit the Battle Droid Pilot under the vulture droid's head. (pic 2). The head can lift up and down in order to do this. Sadly, you can't fit the Neimodian Guard in the cockpit without having to take off his helmet and rifle. Though it's not movie accurate, it's still a fun feature. The other features in this set are the wings and spring loaded missiles. The wings can swivel into flight mode or land mode (pic 1). This works very well, though you can't move each leg so that it can "walk". The new spring missiles however, don't work so well. This set has a great "swoosh" factor, and the best way to do this is to hold the back end of it. However, this is also where the spring missiles are located. Lightly touching the ends of the missiles sends them flying. This could be bad for small kids, because it can fly straight into their eyes quite easily (pic 3). These missiles are also extremely powerful and have great range. Some of you might remember the old spring missiles, that had a rubber tip (pic 4). Sometimes they could get lost. These ones are much smaller. They're so easy to lose, Lego included an extra. My advice on this is to not load the missile launchers and leave the missiles off to the side. It's safer for younger kids and better for older kids who don't want to lose them so easily. And that about sums up the Vulture Droid. It's a great set for all ages, though with younger kids it would be a good idea to remove the spring loaded missiles. This set is great for flying around and creating your own space battles as well. 01 August 2014
Great to find the product was five pound cheaper then when I placed the order. Just what my grandson wanted 24 June 2014
Fun, different design My 5 1/2 year old son picked this out. He was able to construct it on his own though less experienced, young Lego builders might need a bit of help. The swiveling wings are a neat feature as is the way the cockpit opens. He loves the battle droid pilot and buzz droid. He is less enthused about the Nemoidian soldier. He would have much preferred another droid which I agree would be a better fit. I was somewhat concerned with the sturdiness of the wings, but they stay attached and swing and park easily. It's a nice set with solid and unique moving parts. 09 June 2014
A Bigger/Redesigned Vulture Droid I like this new redesign of the vulture droid. I like how you do not have to unsnap the "head" and put it on the vehicle for the walking mode like previous versions. All you have to do is move the hinge. I also like the design of the "legs" for lots of possibility. The only thing I am not sure about is the size. Unlike all the other versions, this is a lot bigger. But, it is not something that will make you not want to buy this still do! Pros: Awesome redesign of a classic figure. It is a whole lot better! Cons: If anything, maybe the size, but again, not something that will make you not want to buy this. 10 May 2014
